Day 1

Arrival to Liberia, Costa Rica you will be met and transferred about 1 hour to Playa Conchal.

Check in at the W Resort Costa Rica at Reserva Conchal. Standing tall between beautiful beaches and the mangroves, W Costa Rica brings a fresh spin to Costa Rican adventure. Nature is boldly reinterpreted upon arrival, with a living room design inspired by the local Guanacaste tree. Check into one of 151 locally designed rooms and suites, complete with a surf culture-inspired MIX Bar and local beer. Day 2

Private Rincón de la Vieja National Park Guided Hiking Tour . Hiking through Rincon de la Vieja National Park is a great experience for the entire family. This is one of the best places in Costa Rica for hiking. The trails bring you close to residual volcanic activity such as boiling mud pools, and fumaroles. You will have the opportunity to explore craters and see the sulfur springs and steam vents that are abundant at Las Pilas. Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife and exotic flora. After your hike, stop in Liberia City for lunch.

Day 3

Diamante Adventure Pass Tour (shared tour with private transfers) – pickup at 8:30am: You will be picked up at your hotel and transfer by ground to the Diamante Eco Adventure Park. The Adventure Pass includes Zip Line, Superman, Quick Jump, Tarzan Swing, Botanical Garden, Kayak, Stand Up Paddle, Snorkeling, Hammock Beach, and Hiking Trails. Diamante’s Animal Sanctuary is Guanacaste’s largest and was constructed in partnership with La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Guests can interact with animals with up-close viewing and even attend a feeding. Diamante is home to the largest variety of species in one location. The residents in the animal sanctuary are all rescue animals and include: Sloths, Monkeys, Pumas, Jaguars, Toucans and more. Diamante has dozens of species of frogs, snakes, birds and a world-class butterfly observatory. The Adventure Pass also includes a cultural experience – you will have the opportunity to learn how rural farmers produced coffee, chocolate, and sugar extracting them from the cacao tree, coffee plants, and sugarcane

Day 4

After breakfast at the hotel we start our journey to the Arenal Volcano (about 3 hours of driving with refreshment stops on the way).

Day 5

Private Safari Float on the Peñas Blancas River – pickup at 8:00am: Enjoy the sights and the sounds of the rainforest and experience its peacefulness as you quietly paddle the Peñas Blancas River. Monkeys, sloths, crocodiles and numerous tropical birds await us! A bilingual guide will share with you educational and interesting explanations of the plants and animals we encounter on the float. You will truly appreciate the wonders of Peñas Blancas River and the surrounding rainforest as we travel down the river without a motor, this way you will enjoy the journey quietly rowing and taking photos.

Day 6

Arenal Hanging Bridges is an ecotourism project of trails and bridges focused on the observation and protection of nature. This private natural reserve, with almost 250 hectares of tropical rain forest, has a vast variety of wild animals, birds, flowers and lush vegetation. Walk right into the forest with your professional naturalist guide, thanks to the imposing hanging bridges overlooking the canopy. The hike consists of 8 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges designed with an eye for both beauty and safety. If you’re feeling especially active, don’t miss the waterfall trail extension at the end of the hike!

Day 7

Experience Arenal’s original sloth tour! The sweet smiling face of the Costa Rican sloth is rapidly becoming the iconic symbol of the country’s amazing rainforest wildlife. The Arenal area is well known for its diverse wildlife, including the 2 different sloth species: two-toed sloth and three-toed sloth. You’ll also have the chance to see toucans and the blue jeans dart frog. On the search for these three beautiful animals, your guide will drive you around La Fortuna’s beautiful spotting areas for more wildlife. Birds, iguanas and monkeys are among the animals that you might encounter.

Day 8

Pure Trek Canyoning Tour. Trek through the forest on trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica. Discover secrets hidden deep within the canyon with the aid of specialized techniques and standard mountaineering equipment. Begin with a brief safety talk before gearing up and embarking on a short trek to the top of the first waterfall where you start your descent. There are five rappels, four of which are along waterfalls, and one dry rock face, ranging in height from 50 to 20 meters, and are all guaranteed to get your blood moving! Get ready for vertical water, dense jungle vegetation, undisturbed wildlife, solitude, adventure and an adrenaline rush!

Day 9

After breakfast we start our journey to La Pax area (about 3 hours of driving).

Arrive at the Peace Lodge at La Paz Waterfall Gardens for overnight. The lodge is located in one of Costa Rica’s Cloud Forest regions, a high-elevation forest where the trees are literally in the clouds! Peace Lodge is on the grounds of a private nature reserve offering incredible waterfalls, lush gardens, a butterfly observatory, and hummingbird feeders all connected by a unique trail system.

Day 10

Waterfall Gardens Private Tour. This will be your ultimate Costa Rican experience of waterfalls, cloud forest, and rain forest. One of our trained staff will guide you through the trails to visit the most famous waterfalls in the country and a rescued wildlife preserve with over 100 species of animals. Attractions include a monkey exhibit, jungle cat exhibit, aviary with 40 species of birds, butterfly observatory & gardens, hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, ranarium (frog exhibit), serpentarium (snake exhibit), insect exhibit, orchid exhibit, and more. You will have the chance to feed both toucans and hummingbirds. The rest of the afternoon is free. Overnight Peace Lodge.
